Penso che questa mia recensione cada a pennello perché sotto Natale nelle migliori profumerie potete trovare tantissimi cofanetti Rituals come idea regalo, quindi potrebbe esservi utile per decidere se compralo anche voi o meno. Questo cofanetto è stata la mia prima occasione di provare i prodotti Rituals. Mi è stato regalato dalle mie amiche che sapevano che ci tenevo tanto a provare i loro prodotti e non potevo esserne più felice. Il cofanetto conteneva un gel schiumoso per la doccia, un olio per la doccia, una crema idratante e uno scrub. Purtroppo non ho più l’INCI dei due prodotti da usare sotto la doccia (ops) quindi non sarà una recensione completissima ma desidero parlarvene lo stesso e condividere con voi impressioni e opinioni. Voi avere già provato i loro prodotti? Come vi siete trovate e quali mi consigliate?

I think that this review is perfect for the moment as during Christmas time you can find a lot of these Rituals boxes as gift idea for the occasion, so it could be useful for you to decide if you want to buy it or not. With this gift set, which was given me by my friends, I had the opportunity to try Rituals’ products for the first time. It contains a shower gel, a shower oil, a body cream and a scrub. I’d like to do a little review of it but, unfortunately, I don’t have the INCI of two of these products so I won’t be a perfect review but I’d like to tell you my opinion anyway. Have you ever tried their products? How do you feel about them and which products do you suggest to me?

 Body cream

INCI: 1.aqua/water 2.cyclopentasiloxane 3.cetearyl alcohol 4.glycerin 5.caprylic/capric triglyceride 6.helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil 7.oryza sativa (rice) extract 8.centella asiatica extract 9.prunus avium (sweet cherry fruit) extract 10. ubiquinone

L’INCI di questa crema sarebbe in realtà molto lungo e purtroppo in posizioni più basse contiene anche dimethicone e paraffina quindi non è proprio bellissimo, considerato anche il cyclopentasiloxane (un altro silicone) in seconda posizione. Quindi diciamo che tutte le doti positive dei successivi oli ed estratti naturali vengono un po’ penalizzati dalla presenza di questi ingredienti. La crema ha comunque delle buone qualità idratanti e quello che mi è piaciuto di più è il delicato profumo di ciliegio che lascia sulla pelle. Sicuramente non è un prodotto green ma non mi sento di bocciarla del tutto.

This cream’s INCI is very long and, unfortunately, it contains dimethicone and paraffin that, with the cyclopentasiloxane (another silicon) in the second position, it’s not good. So we can say that the benefits of the natural oils and extracts in the other positions can be canceled by that. Anyway, the cream has good moisturizing quality and what I liked most is the scent of cherry blossoms that the cream leave on your skin. It’s not a green product but I can’t reject it.

Scrub

INCI: 1.sucrose 2. ethylhexyl stearate 2.isopropyl myristate 3.carthamus tinctorius (hybrid safflower) seed oil 4.persea gratissima (avocado) oil 5.prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil 6.parfum/fragrance 7.macadamia integrifolia seed oil 8.simmondsia chinensis (jojoba seed) oil

In questo caso gli ingredienti sono meno di dieci quindi sono riuscita a inserirli tutti (come sapete per ogni INCI scrivo solo i primi 10). Al contrario del precedente, l’INCI è molto positivo perché quasi tutti gli ingredienti sono di origine naturale. Come potete vedere, è uno scrub a base zucchero. Io non ne avevo mai provati prima, negli altri c’era sempre il sale, e in effetti ho sentito la differenza perché lo zucchero risulta molto più delicato. Infatti, devo dire che al primo posto continua ad esserci lo scrub Atollo 13 di Lush che è molto più potente, ma questo di Rituals non mi è per niente dispiaciuto, lascia la pelle molto morbida e profumata e potrebbe provarlo chi ha una pelle più delicata.

In this case there are less then ten ingredients so I can write them all (as you know I always write the first 10 ingredients of the INCI). Thi INCI is quite good because, as you can see, almost all the ingredients are natural, as all the oils. It’s a sugar based scrub and it was the first time I tried a scrub like this, I still prefer Atollo 13 by Lush which is salt based because it’s much strong, but I liked the Rituals one too. It leaves your skin so soft and good smelling. If you have a delicate skin it could be the perfect scrub for you.

Shower gel

Questo gel doccia è uno dei prodotti più divertenti che io abbia provato. Sì, divertente, perché è proprio divertente essendo anche schiumoso. Appena uscito dal tubo sembra un semplice gel doccia ma in pochi secondi si trasforma in una schiumetta e una volta passato su tutto il corpo la schiuma di moltiplica, lasciandoti un profumo sulla pelle dolce e floreale, persistente ma non in senso negativo, una sensazione molto rilassante. Purtroppo non ho più l’INCI del prodotto, temo che non sarebbe stato troppo positivo, tuttavia credo che se si voglia fare uno strappo sia un prodotto molto valido per la morbidezza, la pulizia e il profumo che lascia sulla pelle.

This shower gel was one of the funniest products I tried. Yes, it’s funny, because it’s a foaming gel so, after fiew seconds in which it seems a simple gel, it becomes a scented lather that leaves your skin so soft and perfumed. Unfourtunately, I don’t have this product’s INCI anymore.

Shower oil

Concludiamo con il prodotto che mi ha convinto di meno. L’olio per la doccia è un prodotto da usare a fine doccia, da risciacquare prima di uscire che promette di lasciare la pelle così liscia da poter sostituire la crema idratante. Ecco io non ho riscontrato questo risultato, ho provato ad usarlo in combinazione con lo scrub del cofanetto e non cambiava nulla, con o senza l’olio la pelle risultava molto morbida grazie allo scrub e comunque, in entrambi i casi, una volta uscita sentivo il bisogno della crema idratante. Inoltre un piccolo appunto anche all’odore che, mentre per tutti gli altri prodotti, come ho già detto, era buonissimo, quello di quest’olio non risultava molto gradevole. Quindi per me l’olio è bocciato.

This was the product that I liked less. It has to be used at the end of the shower and then be rinsed and it should leave the skin more soft and moisturized but I couldn’t see any change whether I used it or not. Moreover, it didn’t smell so good.
